Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire – Heritage Lounge, a refined new daytime sanctuary for older adults living independently at home, has officially opened its doors in the heart of Letchworth Garden City. The celebratory launch event featured a ribbon-cutting by Richard Harbon, Letchworth BID Manager and invited guests to enjoy drinks, nibbles and live music while experiencing the elegant new space and facilities for the very first time.
Designed to reduce isolation, foster meaningful community connection, and support independent living, Heritage Lounge provides a beautifully curated environment where older adults can connect, relax and enjoy enriching activities in a welcoming and elegant setting.
“Our mission is simple,” says Darren Kenedy, CEO at Senior Home Care Group. “We want to offer older adults a beautiful and enriching way to spend the day and connect with others in their community. Heritage Lounge is about creating meaningful, uplifting experiences that empower people to remain independent, socially connected, and part of something special.”
Guests can enjoy an array of amenities including a stylish café and bar, a quiet library, private cinema and beauty room. The activity programme includes live musical entertainment, wellbeing sessions, arts and crafts classes, book clubs, film screenings and seasonal social events, each designed to promote companionship, creativity, enjoyment and personal wellbeing.
Heritage Lounge operates a flexible membership model, with additional hourly attendance options to suit individual needs. To celebrate the launch, complimentary four-hour trial sessions are being offered every week until 31 December, giving older adults the opportunity to explore the space and experience the atmosphere firsthand.
